Story
Grown in the highlands of Huila, Colombia, this SL28 lot reflects the clarity and elegance of classic washed coffees. In a space filled with heavy fermentation, this is a return to origin-driven flavor.
East African genetics meet Colombian terroir, producing a cup that is vibrant, structured, and effortlessly balanced.
The Growers
Juliana Guevara and Wbeimar Lasso are the minds behind Finca La Terraza. Their work blends deep agricultural knowledge with a passion for precision, consistently producing some of the most respected microlots in Huila.
Wbeimar, a Colombian Cup Tasters Champion, brings a technical edge to processing, while Juliana focuses on quality control and farm management. Together, they’ve built La Terraza into a benchmark for both innovation and consistency in Colombian coffee.
Process
Low intervention washed. Cherries are hand-picked, depulped, and fermented for 40–56 hours before being fully washed and slowly dried on patios and covered beds. This method preserves clarity and enhances natural sweetness.
In the Cup
Bright citrus acidity leads into layered stone fruit and soft caramel sweetness. Floral aromatics lift the profile while a clean finish keeps everything balanced. Refined, expressive, and quietly complex.
Brew Tips
Best on pour over
Use a slightly coarser grind and lower dose
Flat bottom brewers highlight clarity and structure
