Celestial Bloom – Edwin Noreña
Quindío, Colombia, Campo Hermoso
Flavor Notes
Floral • Orange Blossom • Rose • Citrus • Pomegranate
This is Gesha at its most expressive. Grown by Edwin Noreña, known as El Alquimista, on Finca Campo Hermoso, this lot showcases what happens when meticulous processing meets exceptional coffee genetics. Every step is intentional, but nothing artificial is added, just coffee pushed to its full potential.
Process
Inoculated carbonic honey process with triple fermentation using the coffee’s own cherry must. The result is a deeply layered cup that feels both vibrant and refined.
In the Cup
Highly floral and botanical up front, think jasmine, orange blossom, and hibiscus, followed by soft, elegant fruit like peach and pineapple. Despite its intensity, it stays balanced with a silky texture and clean sweetness. Complex, but effortless.
Brew Tips
Best enjoyed as a pour-over to highlight its florals and clarity. Use slightly cooler water (198–202°F) and a longer bloom to open up aromatics.
